The multi-billion dollar a year “face/eye” creme market.

If you have ever wondered how a little jar of facial night creme which you smear over your face and under your eyes just before you go to sleep works. If you have ever wondered why that little jar of facial night creme costs so much you are definitely not alone.

Can the skin in your face actually absorb whatever the product inside the very small, yet very expensive, night “face / eye make me look younger wonder creme” like the manufacturers claim?

First we need to understand how the skin works and why we age:

Our skin is designed to protect us from dangers outside; it is the largest organ in all mammals (including us). Without getting “all scientific” the skin’s main job is to stop things from the outside getting in. Does this include those really expensive night cremes... YES! Your skin is designed not to allow things from the outside to get into the inside. Now on humans, the thickness also varies where the soles of the feet are the thickest and the area under your eyes is the most thin which is why the area around the eye are the first place where the signs of aging show their ugly head, crows feet, bags under the eyes, etc.

Your skin ( essentially the epidermis), including, the area under your eyes as thin as it is, when confronted with a “wonder night creme”, pathogens, or an infection, does what it can to defend itself against it. You may have noticed that sometimes your skin has an “oily” feel, that is the sebaceous glands that release sebum, an oily liquid which the skin naturally releases.  So here is the conundrum with night cremes: When the sebaceous gland opens in the face at night to release its oily liquid and there is another oily liquid waiting to get in or stopping the release of the other oily liquid then there becomes a build up of too much “oily liquid wonder face / night creme” on the face. Once the oils cannot be released through the face, or if there is a build up of oils under the eyes then the results are counter productive.

Why are those cremes so expensive? One word: Marketing! Companies who sell wonder night creme invest a lot of money to have a part in the multi billion dollar a year face creme market and those costs need to be past onto someone.

So what works?

Cosmetic surgery definitely does, but as we all know the risks many times are simply not worth it. The only natural solution is with products like Facelift Gym, which is a fitness machine using electrical and vibrational muscle stimulation technology to strengthen the muscles under and around the eyes. It works like a fitness machine so the results come over time and by visiting their website you will also notice the lack of any creme’s. The only other product is the facelift repair bamboo vinegar patch which actually helps absorb the toxins from under your eyes.

So if you have bags under your eyes, dont make the problem worse by adding expensive night cremes or oils.
